Venipedia is a nonprofit wiki-based encyclopedia dedicated to the City of Venice. The Venipedia website serves as a primary resource for collected data and detailed information available to the English-speaking world.

==History==
Venipedia was created in 2007 by Dr. Fabio Carrera, a Venetian native and the primary [http://www.wpi.edu| Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI)] [http://www.wpi.edu/academics/GPP/Centers/venice695.html| Venice project center] advisor. Since the founding of the site, WPI students contribute every year with newly collected data pertaining to current projects.
