If you have a Vodafone SIM card, you can stop at any Tobacconist's shop (with a big blue "T" sign) or Vodafone store for a ''RICARICA'' (recharge). If your skill with Italian permits you, give the store clerk your cell phone number and money and let him/her do the recharging for you. Otherwise, purchase a Recharge card (they come in different Euro amounts) and follow these directions:<br />

# Scratch the grayish box on the lower right-hand of the card corner using a coin or something sharp.<br />
# From your cell phone, call the free number '''42010''' and follow the oral instructions you will receive, in Italian...<br />
* After the first pause, press 1.<br />
* After the 2nd pause, enter the "secret" code that you just scratched out.<br />
* After the voice reads back the number, press 1 to confirm.<br />
* After the voice reads back your cellular phone number, press 1 to confirm that.<br />
* Wait a few seconds for final confirmation.<br />
* Wait for a text message of confirmation before throwing away the recharge card.<br />

If you cannot use your cell phone, call the toll-free number 348-200-2010 from another phone or go online at http://www.vodafone.it and access your personal area (Area Personale) "190 Fai da te".<br />
