== Traveling to Verona ==
: The easiest means of transportation to Verona is by train. The ride is about 1.5 hours in duration and takes you past some beautiful scenery. A round trip ticket can range from 14 euros for the Regional (most stops) to 50 euros for EuroStar (nicest with fewest stops). We elected to take an IC (Inner City) train for 21 euros round trip and arrived in Venora about 80 minutes after leaving Venice.

== Exploring Verona ==
: There are many attractions and points of interest in Verona. The Comune di Verona has a nice site with a few different ways of exploring the city: [http://www.comune.verona.it/turismo/Passeggiando/ Itineraries]. Below I have outlined the route I took and the attractions I visited. Although there is much to see and do and one could easily spend multiple days in Verona, it makes for a very nice day trip.

=== The VeronaCard ===
: Before leaving the Train Station, I highly recommend you go to the Tourism Office and pick up a free map of the city and inquire about where to purchase a VeronaCard. The VeronaCard costs either 10 euros for a single day or 15 euros for a 3 day card and is well worth the money. The card provides you will free public transportation on the bus system as well as free access to many museums and attractions.
'''Other Sites'''
: The following sites are ones I didn't have a chance to visit but would definitely go back to see
* The Roman Theater
* The Duomo
* Arsenale
* Saint Peter's Castle
|
=== The Arena (A) ===
: '''Cost:''' 6 euros or Free with VeronaCard
: Built in the year 30 AD this arena is the third largest Roman arena and is able to hold over 30,000 spectators. The arena is still used today for various shows and concerns including live performance by Pearl Jam, Kiss, The Who, and Muse. When not being used for shows the arena is open to be explored and the views from the top are exceptional.

=== The Tomb of Juliet (B) ===
: '''Cost:''' 10 euros or Free with VeronaCard
: Host to small but superb little museum of Religious/Roman paintings and sculptures as well as the tomb and supposed casket of Juliet.

=== Saint Fermo's Church (C) ===
: '''Cost:''' 6 euros or Free with VeronaCard
: '''Cost:''' 10 euros or Free with VeronaCard
: The famed Balcony and statue of Juliet. The house has been converted into a museum to honor all of the plays, musicals, movies, and other productions of the story of Romeo and Juliet. If you decide to explore the museum you will be able to stand on the balcony as Juliey supposedly did. Also on note are the wall leading to the courtyard containing the statue and balcony as they are literally covered in [http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/3025722100_d87210364f.jpg Love Notes].

=== Piazza dei Signori (E) ===
: A nice fairly quiet plaza right next Piazza della Erbe, which is filled with shops and restaurants. Piazza dei Signori is a great place to take a break from sightseeing and just enjoy the mild Northern Italian climate.

=== The Castelvecchio Museum (F) ===
