Overview of Bridge
The Ponte dei Carmini was built primarily using Mattoni, Intonaco e Pietra d'Istria. It crosses the Rio de S. Provolo o de l'Osmarin bridging a gap which is 4.07 meters. The bridge is not a crooked bridge. On the northern side of the bridge is the sestiere of Castello and on the southern side is also Castello .There are 2 ramps. On the north side there are 10 steps, on the south side there are 8 steps. This results in a total of 18 steps. The height of a typical step is 13 meters, the thickness of a step is about 35 centimeters, and the width of a step is about 1.82 meters. The steps are paved with Asfalto. The bridge is not handicapped accessible and it does not have an additional railing. The summit is 2.14 meters wide and 1.63 meters in length for a total area of about 3.49 meters. The summit is paved with Asfalto. Also, this bridge has 1 arch. The bridge's Vuoto Decorato railing is made of Metallo and is about 3.00 meters wide is about 1.02 meters tall. Finally, the bridge protrudes 0.3 meters to the North and 0.25 meters to the South.
History
The following is any history we have regarding the bridge's origins:

The topographic maps of the Paganuzzi and the artwork is called \Ponte della Madonna del Carmine,\ and depicts its name from a small altar, where, even at present, is venerated under this title Mother of God This bridge, as noted by the Dezan , was erected for the first time about the year 1791 and probably Gasparo Gozzi dell'altarino speaks in one of his letters, where, after describing a terrible storm that raged especially August 17, 1756 in Padua, Mestre, etc.., continues: \With all these smash here in Venice he has not had another bad that a lightning bolt, which touched the capital which is in S. Provolo, to go on the Riva dell'Osmarin, and the church of S. John and Paul, and another place that I do not remember. \\nIn other parts of the city there were, and largely still are, of the devout frames, painted or sculpted in \capitals\, or on the walls. This way the following names at times repeated: \Sottoportico, Court, Angel Court, Court Sottoportico Annunciation; Bridge St. Antonio; Calle del Cristo, Bridge, Rio S. Christopher; Calle della Madonna, Calle, Bridge, Rio, Ferry, Ferry Calle del Madonnetta. \
