Overview of Bridge
The Ponte degli Scalzi , constructed in 1934, was built primarily using Pietra d'Istria. It crosses the Canal Grande bridging a gap which is 46.18 meters. The bridge is not a crooked bridge. On the northern side of the bridge is the sestiere of Cannaregio and on the southern side is Santa Croce .There are 2 ramps. The steps are paved with Trachite. The bridge is not handicapped accessible and it does not have an additional railing. Also, this bridge has 1 arch. The bridge's Colonnette railing is made of Pietra d'Istria .
