As of today, 2016, Venice is home to 2191 production companies
Overview
When looking at the production data, we realized that the number of open companies had not changed much. However, by looking at specific sectors within the production industry, some trends became apparent. There are eleven production sectors in Venice as shown below in the figure.
Within the production industry, we further broke down our analysis to focus on the changes in each individual sector.
Construction
Since 1997, construction companies have increased by nine percent, starting at 509 companies and ending at 553 in 2016. It peaked at 574 companies in 2007.
