San Polo is one of the six districts of Venice. The area is located in central Venice, inside the upper curve of the grand canal.

Attractions

Though it is Venice's smallest district, San Polo experiences heavy tourist activity due to its many attractions. Some of those attractions include:

  • Rialto Bridge and Markets
  • San Polo church
  • Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari church
  • Campo San Polo

San Polo is also a center of food culture, and many tourists visit for its famed pizza. Many walking tours focus on the San Polo district for its historical significance as well.
