Laundry
Each apartment in Ca'Corte has its own washing machine, located within each apartment's bathroom. These washing machines are much smaller than the average US washing machine. They allow for maybe one or two outfits per load. Plan your laundry habits accordingly.
There are no automatic driers available in this residence (nor anywhere else in Venice). There are clothing racks available for air drying. Heaters are valuable tools for speeding up the drying process.
Kitchen Facilities
A four-burner stove and an oven are available in each appartment in Ca'Corte. Cabinet space and a disguised mini-fridge are also available in each apartment.
High water
In case of flooding, the canals around Ca' Corte can overflow. Boots are a decent investment. Extra pairs left from previous years may be found at the VPC. Any first-floor residents should be aware of high water predictions and warnings, and make the necessary preparations in the case of flooding. During B-term 2008, waters reached about 156cm above normal sea level, although this is exceptional. First floor Ca' Corte residents reported ankle- to knee-high water levels.
