Borgoloco is a rare place name used to describe certain spaces only specifically found in Venice. Among all the different street types found in Venice, borgoloco are one of the most difficult to understand. The obscure and infrequent use of the place name causes a lot of confusion for many of the tourists and visitors in the city. Translations vary from source to source, but the translation seems to be broken down from:
Borgo - village
Loco - native place
