The Lido is the largest ''lidi'' of the Venetian Lagoon. It roads and a bus line that runs the length of the island as well as down to Pellestrina. The island has a long beach on the Adriatic Sea and was the favorite place of wealthy Europeans during the 20th Century. The Grande Hotel des Bains is the most famous seaside resort on the island.
