This article contains information about the islands of the Venetian Lagoon.

This article contains information on all islands contained in the Venetian Lagoon that fall under the Venice Project Center's definition of an Island. This includes Inner City Islands that make up the City of Venice itself, Major Lagoon Islands that are widely used and inhabited, and Minor Lagoon Islands which have been used but are currently largely abandoned.
Inner City Islands
There are 126 Inner City Islands that make up the main city center of Venice. These are arranged into six sestiere
Major Lagoon Islands
There are 8 Major Lagoon Islands, including the 2 lidi. These islands are outside the main city center and are all still inhabited.
Minor Lagoon Islands
There are 32 Minor Lagoon Islands which are largely uninhabited and belong to one of the four categories based on their original use:
- Batteria
- Ottagoni
- Ospedale
- Convents and Monasteries
