The Chiesa di S. Francesco di Paula, or San Francesco di Paula as it is locally known, was founded in the year 1291 and is a Catholic church.

History

This church was first established in the 9th century, and then later renovated and rededicated in the 11th and 13th centuries. In the 16th century, the Friars Minor took over the church and converted the grounds into a monastery and rebuilt the church in the design seen today. The monastery was taken over as a military barracks by Napoleon in 1806 and later demolished to erect a school in its place.
