Introduction English
Senator Leonardo Moro built in the mid-sixteenth century, a vast complex of buildings on the north-west of the city, with four corner towers-houses from which they took the name of the nearby bridge towers.�In the late nineteenth century began to firm up the sandbank in front of the foundation Moro and nearby Chiovere, thus giving rise to a new bag initially used as storage of materials and shipyard for repair of vessels, which was then gradually built up from late twenties to achieve the creation of the 'neighborhood' housing known as 'King's Bay'.�By virtue of this new settlement was to extend the primitive mouth of the Rio del Batelo in the lagoon [above, n card.�11], whose final stretch was called recentement rio de Ca 'Moro.

Il senatore Leonardo Moro fece costruire verso la met� del XVI secolo un vasto complesso edilizio sull'estremit� nord-occidentale della citt�, munito di quattro case-torri angolari dalle quali prese il nome il vicino ponte delle Torrette. Sul finire del XIX secolo si incominci� a rassodare la barena antistante la fondamenta Moro e le vicine chiovere, dando cos� origine ad una nuova sacca usata inizialmente come deposito di materiali e squero per la riparazione di natanti, la quale venne quindi gradualmente urbanizzata a partire dalla fine degli anni Venti per giungere alla creazione del 'quartiere' residenziale noto come 'Baia del Re'. In virt� di questo nuovo insediamento si venne a prolungare il primitivo sbocco del rio del batelo in laguna [supra, scheda n. 11], il cui tratto terminale � stato recentement denominato rio de Ca' Moro.
