Introduction English
In the neighborhood of Rio (visible in the work side, San Stin, by Filippo De Pisis in 1942), once stood a church dedicated to St. Stephen the Confessor, known to the Venetians as' San Stin '- contracted form of' San Stefanin '.�The building underwent various vicissitudes destroyed by fire in 1105, it was rebuilt in 1295.�Remained open for worship until 1810, to be demolished shortly thereafter.�Along the river, overlooking buildings from various eras: the sixteenth-century Palazzo Zen, the baroque palace the Gothic Palazzo Soranzo and Amalteo.

Nei pressi dell'omonimo rio (visibile nell'opera a fianco, San Stin, realizzata da Filippo De Pisis nel 1942), sorgeva un tempo la chiesa dedicata a Santo Stefano Confessore, nota ai veneziani come 'San Stin' - forma contratta di 'San Stefanin'. L'edificio sub� varie vicissitudini: distrutto da un incendio nel 1105, venne riedificato nel 1295. Rimase aperto al culto fino al 1810, per essere demolito poco pi� tardi. Lungo il rio, si affacciano edifici di varie epoche: il cinquecentesco palazzo Zen, il baroccheggiante palazzo Amalteo e il gotico palazzo Soranzo.
