Introduction English
The name seems to derive from the family Trapolin, a native of Cyprus, in fact even today along the river you can see a porch that once led into the court Trapolina, where there were several properties of this family.�Walking bridge Zancani, which crosses the river, you reach Campo San Martial, known to the Venetians as Marcilian, where there is the church of the same name founded in the twelfth century, rebuilt in the late seventeenth century and restored in 1958.

Il nome sembra derivi dalla famiglia Trapolin, originaria di Cipro; ancor'oggi infatti lungo il rio si scorge un porticato che un tempo immetteva nella corte Trapolina, dove sorgevano numerose propriet� di questa famiglia. Percorrendo ponte Zancani, che attraversa il rio, si giunge a campo San Marziale, noto ai veneziani come Marcilian, dove sorge l'omonima chiesa fondata nel XII secolo, riedificata alla fine del Seicento e restaurata nel 1958.
