Introduction English
It owes its name to the church of St. Helena, founded in the thirteenth century to house the remains of the saint arrived from Constantinople, a time rich in art treasures and important religious center, in 1807 the building was closed and reopened for worship later in 1928.�The channel is crossed by four bridges: the first leads to the Morosini Naval College, with the second of the avenue that leads to the church, with the third to the football field and finally the last of the dock Pleasure sailing Venice.

Deve il proprio nome alla chiesa di Sant'Elena, fondata nel XIII secolo per accogliere le spoglie della santa giunte da Costantinopoli; un tempo ricco di tesori d'arte e centro religioso importante, nel 1807 l'edificio fu chiuso al culto e riaperto solo in seguito nel 1928. Il canale � attraversato da quattro ponti: con il primo si accede al Collegio Navale Morosini, con il secondo al viale che conduce alla chiesa, con il terzo al campo sportivo e infine con l'ultimo alla darsena del Diporto velico veneziano.
