Introduction English

The name given to this river seems to derive from the ancient custom of using a toleta, ie a small table, as walkway to cross the channel.�When, later, the bridge was built, it shall kept the name.�At the height of the bridge boatyard is a building of the sixteenth century with interesting Renaissance windows embellished with decorated arches.

Il nome attribuito a questo rio sembra derivare dall'antica consuetudine di utilizzare una toleta, ossia una piccola tavola, come passerella per attraversare il canale. Quando, in seguito, fu costruito il ponte, esso ne conserv� il nome. All'altezza di ponte dello squero si trova una costruzione del Cinquecento con interessanti finestre rinascimentali impreziosite da archi decorati.
