Del popolare gioco della racchetta si parlava gi� nella citt� lagunare del XVII secolo, trovandosi nei documenti che un Domenico tende alla rachetta, un Zuan Battista dalla racheta, ed un Zuan Battista Alberti della racheta, risiedevano nella contrada di San Felice ove aveva sede un frequentatissimo campo da gioco che nel 1661 era gestito da Zuane Spinola. Altri luoghi frequentati dai giocatori delle racchette furono calle larga dei Boteri, la zona dei Biri e, nel XVII secolo, la zona delle fondamente Nove in prossimit� della calle che fiancheggia l'ex monastero di Santa Caterina.
