Introduction English
The name seems to derive from the ancient chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary, under the portico of San Polo.�Promises on the river and the adjacent field, Tiepolo palace-Maffetti, a Baroque building of the eighteenth century by the architect Giorgio Massari, built on the site of an existing building belonged to the family Bernardo.�A few meters away there is Palazzo Soranzo.�These buildings were once divided by a river that was filled in 1761.�Closes this series of buildings Dona Palace, a Renaissance building of the beginning of the sixteenth century to the characteristic ogival portal decorated with reliefs of animals and floral motifs.

Il nome sembra derivare dall'antico capitello dedicato alla Vergine, posto sotto il portico di San Polo. Prospetta sul rio e sull'adiacente campo, palazzo Tiepolo-Maffetti, costruzione barocca del XVIII secolo, opera dell'architetto Giorgio Massari, sorta sull'area di un preesistente edificio appartenuto alla famiglia Bernardo. A pochi metri di distanza si trova palazzo Soranzo. Questi palazzi erano, un tempo, divisi da un rio che fu interrato nel 1761. Chiude questa serie di costruzioni palazzo Don�, edificio rinascimentale del principio del XVI secolo caratteristico per il portale archiacuto ornato con rilievi di animali e motivi floreali.
